Flint core axe
sketchfab
In April 2013, a core axe with a distinctive rhombic cross section was unearthed during a marine archaeological survey. Conducted by the Viking Ship Museum, the investigation took place in the waters separating Zealand from Møn, Denmark. Dating back to the earliest period of the Ertebølle culture (approximately 5,400-4,800 BC), this significant find was identified through typological analysis. A detailed 3D model of the axe was created by Matko Čvrljak for the Viking Ship Museum, using a Canon G1X camera and Agisoft Photoscan software.
