First Attempt At Making Something Useful For My Flightclub Proton I'm gonna try to make this thing work, first off I've gotta get familiar with it. Took a look through the manual and some online tutorials, seems pretty straightforward but I'll be honest, not entirely sure what I'm doing yet. The Flightclub Proton is a beast of a simulator, has all these fancy features that are supposed to make my training sessions more realistic, but so far it's just been overwhelming me. First thing I did was try to set up the flight controls, which were a bit tricky to get used to since they're not exactly like the ones on my actual plane. Had to fiddle with the sensitivity settings until it felt right in my hands. Once that was sorted out, I started practicing some basic maneuvers - turns, climbs, and descents. The thing handles surprisingly well for a simulator, but I still feel like I'm gonna crash every five seconds. Next up, I tried to get into a more realistic scenario. Set the weather to something decently windy and overcast, then took off from a runway that was pretty close to my actual home airport. The visuals are insane - the clouds look so real it's almost disorienting. Took me a few minutes to get used to, but once I did, I felt like I was actually up in the air. One thing I'm still struggling with is the G-Force indicator. It's supposed to be some kind of magic meter that tells you when you're pushing the plane too hard, but so far it's been giving me false readings left and right. Maybe I just need to get a better feel for it or something. All in all, not bad for my first attempt, but there's definitely room for improvement. Guess it's time to start practicing some more complex maneuvers and see how the thing handles when things get really tough.
