Flight Simulator - Small Cockpit Light - A-10C Warthog
thingiverse
This is a representation of the 'Grimes A-6646' cockpit spot light found in an A-10C Thunderbolt II 'Warthog', and many other modern US Aircraft. The real jet cockpit has eight of these around the sides of the cockpit. I've designed this to use 'motobike number plate lights' found on eBay The units complete .stl is included so you can see how it fits together. I dont recommend printing it like that! The tolerances on the shroud are deliberately tight so it press fits and stays in place. You will need two small M3 bolts and two M3 nuts to hold the mount together, if you use that mount. I also included the mount section of the band on its own, so you can use your own fabricated mount if you want to (watch the video below to see what im on about). I used a 26mm X 18mm rectangle piece of acrylic for the glass, but this is not really needed. Video below shows how I made mine Visit www.thewarthogproject.com for more flight sim cockpit info!
