Flight controller spacer mount for ZMR250
thingiverse
I created spacers with insulators between layers for 32mm holes, allowing you to mount a flight controller or a 4-in-1 ESC on a ZMR250 frame. Use nylon screws and nuts to secure it firmly down. Specifically, I designed these spacers so that my own frame could hold both a CC3D flight controller on top of a 4-in-1 ESC, without either component touching the other. There are spaces labeled as "H" and a square shape to help navigate around components or plugs sticking out. Use the one that fits your situation best. I have also included OpenSCAD files so others can customize their own spacers to work around specific electronics on their flight controller or ESC. Two additional stand-offs were added, one for use with ReadyToFlyQuads.Com 4-in-1 ESCs and another for a Flip32+. The "outside square" design attempts to create a picture-frame style spacer to get around component challenges. These spacers were successfully mounted on my ZMR250 frame paired with a 4-in-1 ESC and the Flip32 flight controller. My stack looks solid, and I'm thrilled with how minimal the wiring turned out. Instructions: These spacers were printed with a Printrbot Simple Metal in Cura software using a 0.3mm layer height, finishing within 7 minutes of printing time.
