Flight Controller box for VAS Banshee

I needed a place to mount my flight controller on my second VAS Banshee, so I built this bracket. It fits snugly on the bottom side of the airplane, requiring only a cut-out for the EEP buckout to accommodate the ESC. The design is positioned close to but slightly aft of the CG on this particular plane. To secure the FC, I used M3 screws from beneath the print, attaching short stand-offs that hold it in place. A look at the pictures will reveal how I trimmed the EPP to make room for the board. The lid remains securely fastened with two 1/2-inch #2x screws sourced from my local hardware store, while the open sides allow easy access for USB connections - essential for linking up a FTDI cable to my on-board OSD. This setup allows me to utilize Sbus from my ImmersionRC EZUHF and enjoy an OSD that integrates GPS data. Although I haven't yet flown this airplane, extensive experience with my other Banshee has proven it's a fantastic aircraft for flying. With this configuration, I'll finally have a definitive answer to the question: "How fast am I flying?" The bracket was printed using Hatchbox Blue ABS, which happened to be what I had loaded on my printer at the time. For those planning to build their own, I recommend either pre-installing the FC or printing a mock-up with stand-off holders in place - this will prevent any potential warping of the box during assembly. The Sketchup 2016 file is included for anyone interested in modifying or re-designing the bracket. This file also contains a stacker box design for the GPS and FC chip, which I've printed but couldn't figure out where to integrate it into my Banshee's layout. As an added feature, the arrow shafts used as wire chases and spars can be seen installed in the airplane - a precautionary measure to prevent damage from the plane's tendency to tear along the fuselage-wing junction. I plan to run camera wires through one of these tubes and power cables for the VTX and camera through another.
