Flexy Spooler for Sterlite 4.7q air tight drybox
thingiverse
These gen 1 and gen 2 flexible spool holders function perfectly vertically, but I specifically designed them for horizontal use. The Sterlite 4.7 quart containers are available at $5 regularly through Amazon and Walmart and have worked exceptionally well for me with the older design. With this new design, spools featuring a center as small as 40mm or as large as 90mm can be utilized seamlessly. Even the smallest 50g mini spools work flawlessly. Two 608 bearings are required for each flexy core. The other components are made from PLA. I plan to add a desiccant holder to this design in a few days, so keep checking back for that exciting update. Printed from SainSmart TPU - similar to Ninjaflex with 30% infill to about 20mm then 15% infill on up. Concentric 3D pattern. FlexySpooler (1) is ideal for most spools. FlexySpooler2 works flawlessly for just about everything and was my final design.
