Flexy-Hand 2 - Filaflex Remix
thingiverse
My most advanced Flexy-Hand yet! This design was crafted specifically for Jack via e-NABLE, thanks to a collaboration between myself and Jeff Erenstone, a talented Prosthetist and CPO of Performance Orthopedic Design. Optimized for printing with flexible filaments, this version features Thermoformed Gauntlets made from dual materials, with lower layers printed in PLA and upper layers in Filaflex. The result? Great strength and durability. Key Features: * Dual Material design provides superior flexibility * Lower Layers printed in PLA provide base structure while Upper Layers made from flexible Filaflex provide smooth operation * Integral Palm socket for comfortable fit * Silent articulation system enables seamless movement Each finger and thumb is printed in one piece using customisable CraftWare supports. Recipient's scanned limb can be printed with internal "bone" and wrist articulation using Variable Density Modifier Meshes in Slic3r.
