This is my thesis project, stemming from extensive testprints created using the Ultimaker 2 extended+. After careful analysis, I concluded that the feeder, bowden setup, and single nozzle configuration made the printer ill-suited for printing flexible materials like ninjaflex. Research revealed this issue affected several other printers as well. I endeavored to combine components capable of printing flexible materials into a compact design. Additionally, the hot-end for support material is bowden-fed and vertically adjustable, achieved through deliberate design choices to minimize weight and prevent hot-end dragging. A significant amount of metal parts are incorporated into the design, enabling users to digitally examine each component in detail. The Bondtech .stl-file was kindly provided by Bondtech; http://www.bondtech.se/en/products/extruders/. E3D hotends were sourced from GrabCAD.\nI have included a picture with links to various part manufacturers and resellers for your reference.
