If you like these designs and find them helpful buy me a drink or two! Update June 22 2018 I wanted something more durable to protect the motors after slamming into a concrete wall and snapping one of the motor magnets. I've added a new file ascent2-motor-guard.stl that fits 1104 and 1106 motors, adding significantly more protection. The flat part of the motor guard serves two purposes: 1) it's flat based to print from so you don't need to use supports (see picture above), and 2) additional protection in both front and rear directions. Note that the current STL is for motors 4 and 1. Use your 3d printing software to mirror the STL before printing for motors 2 and 3, or leave a comment if you'd like me to upload a mirrored version. I've been flying in garages a lot lately, and the concrete was destroying my arms. I couldn't find arm guards for the FlexRC Accent 2", so I decided to make them myself. I also designed it to serve as a soft mount. The soft mount is 1mm thick and didn't require me to use longer bolts, which is a plus. I just tested them out, and they worked great. If your motor bolts have button heads, this guard is thick enough to cover them too. Here's a video of the printed part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XSiah36avg
