Here is Mr Flexy. This was my first attempt at creating a model with multiple moving parts that prints in a single piece. I designed it using basic hinge style and ball and socket joints. Clearances and printability were my top concerns, so I took extra care in the design of the joints to ensure they would be free-moving straight out of the print bed. My first print exceeded expectations - no material needed to be cut or broken away, and the joints moved smoothly without any issues. I'd say this model is pretty easy to print. I plan on creating several more variations of this design to test different joint styles and options. When I have some ready, I'll upload them for you to see. In the meantime, I'd love to hear about your experiences with making Mr Flexy - please share any modifications or creations you've made! Print Settings: Printer: FolgerTech Kossel Rev B Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10-20% Notes: Due to the internal structure of the model, the head benefits most from infill settings since it has the largest top infill area. The rest of the body has enough internal design in the joints to keep everything rigid and strong.
