Flexion Extruder for Prusa i3 MK3 - E3Dv6 or Volcano
thingiverse
Documentation pending. For those who want to attempt figuring it out themselves (until I finish writing documentation :) ): - Works with stock firmware, but you'll need to adjust your steps per mm using `M92 E<steps>`. I've found `M92 E192` works well for me. This won't persist across printer resets unless you also write it to the EEPROM with `M500`. Send these via pronterface over usb. - You'll probably need to cut new PTFE tubes yourself and put a 45 degree taper on the part that rests in the hotend. I just use sand paper and eyeball it and twist it as I slide it. Length is roughly 51mm, but I need to check that. Good luck :). - Assembly is very similar to the stock extruder, but simpler. - If the teflon tube is correct (which is critical) and cam properly adjusted, this was able to print ninja flex at maximum speed. I was trying to see how fast it would start failing, but the MK3's ability to plan stepper movements failed first, and the motion began to stutter. This was using a volcano. If you want to print shore 85A filament like a TPU squirting demon, this'll do ya. - Will only ever support MMU for filaments that don't require changing the cam setting for tensioning. This may be added in the future, but for now, no MMU support.
