Flexible Wire Brush Cover
thingiverse
In my well-stocked maintenance toolbox, a small wire brush sits ready for action. Slightly larger than a toothbrush, but with sharp steel (or brass) bristles that are always up to the task of scrubbing burnt plastics off a 3D-printer nozzle. Rummaging through such a toolbox can be downright painful. Sooner or later, the bristles will find your fingers and cause some serious discomfort. Keeping the bristles clean is essential for keeping your hands safe from harm. A protective cover should be placed over the brush to prevent any accidents. As it stands, the inner dimensions of this small tool are 41mm long, 13mm wide, and 21mm high. These measurements can easily be scaled up using Cura or FreeCAD, which is parametric and allows for a range of customization options. The entry point is slightly smaller than the cavity to prevent it from falling off. Feel free to adjust as needed. I printed this tool standing upright with TPU, using a layer height of 0.2mm and an infill percentage of 25%.
