Flexible watch band
thingiverse
Print your own flexible watch band for digital and other types of watches using OpenSCAD files. Customize the band's width and length according to your watch requirements. The band should consist of a single layer oriented parallel to its length to ensure flexibility. The buckle is simple, but can be improved if necessary. Print with ABS; results with PLA are pending. Measure your wrist circumference and subtract the watch size to determine the strap length needed (150mm in included .stl files). Adjust layer height (.4mm recommended) and band width in OpenSCAD files if necessary. Export the modified .stl files and ensure infill is parallel to the band's length during printing. Before printing the buckle side, insert a paper of slightly less than the band width between buckle supports. Acetone can be used to fix any gaps in infill. If pins don't fit, drill out pin holes using a 5/64" bit. Attach the watch band and snap the buckle bump through a strap hole for a snug fit. Enjoy your custom-made flexible watch band!
