Flexible Vacuum Attachment for Table Saw
myminifactory
I drew inspiration from this design on Thingiverse:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17021I increased the size of the coupling and printed them in ABS at 0.2 layer thickness, 30% fill, using Simplify3D on my Fabrikator Mini.Next, I designed the base and funnel in Tinkercad and printed those on the DaVinci Jr in PLA using 0.3 layer height, 30% fill.I assembled the couplings by heating them with a heat gun then pushing them together and letting them cool down. The Funnel was attached similarly. The base was secured to the bottom coupling with super glue. The completed design was clamped to my table saw with the funnel positioned just off the blade so it wouldn't fall in.It was connected to my shopvac via the base, and I started clearing out some wood.It worked fairly well but not exceptionally. It did reduce dust flying off the blade, though, eliminating none of it completely.Check out the full details in my Filament Friday YouTube video:https://youtu.be/rU3NpqJoo0A
