Flexible Vacuum Attachment for Table Saw
thingiverse
I designed this based on the coupling from here:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17021, doubling its size for a more substantial fit. Then, I printed two couplings with Simplify3D on my Fabrikator Mini at 0.2 layer height and 30% fill in ABS material. The base and funnel were designed in Tinkercad, and I printed them with the DaVinci Jr using 0.3 layer height and 30% fill in PLA. I connected the couplings by heating them up with a heat gun and then pushing them together until they cooled, doing the same for the funnel. The base was superglued to the bottom coupling. The finished design was clamped to my table saw with the funnel positioned just off to the side of the blade so it wouldn't fall on it. I connected my shopvac to the base and then proceeded to clean up some wood shavings. It worked effectively but could have been better, as it certainly reduced the amount of flying sawdust but did not eliminate all of it.
