Flexible Vacuum Attachment for Table Saw
pinshape
I based this on the design from here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17021 I doubled the size of the coupling, then printed them in ABS at a layer height of 0.2, with 30% infill using Simplify3D on my Fabrikator Mini. Next, I designed the base and funnel in Tinkercad, printing those on the DaVinci Jr in PLA with a layer height of 0.3, 30% infill. To connect the couplings, I heated them up with a heat gun, then pushed them together while they cooled down. The Funnel was handled similarly. The base was superglued to the bottom coupling. Finally, the finished design was clamped to my table saw with the funnel positioned just off to the side of the blade so it couldn't fall onto the blade. My shopvac was connected to the base and then I got rid of some wood. It worked pretty well but not incredibly great. It definitely reduced sawdust flying off the blade, though it didn't eliminate all of it.
