It does indeed flex. You can use it as an initial step towards understanding the Yoshimoto cube. Mathematically, one piece is 1/4 of a cube. Two spiky ones will form a stellated dodecahedron with 12 rhombic spikes. It also flexes to a hollow half-cube. Three sizes are included. The 25 mm dimension refers to the unit size of a cube.
