Flexible Standoffs for Soft Mounting Flight Controller

Flexible Standoffs for Soft Mounting Flight Controller

thingiverse

I previously tried hard mounting one of my flight controllers with standard metal spacers and O-rings to eliminate some unwanted yaw shake that couldn't be calibrated out. It didn't appear to make a difference, so I decided to try printing some in HobbyKing flexible filament (NinjaFlex is too firm) and it took care of my yaw shake right away. I also used slices of harder silicone fuel tubing instead of O-rings since it is stiffer. They are not threaded but the holes are small and stiff enough that M3 screws thread into them easily. I recommend squeezing each spacer with some pliers a few times to harden them up a bit. There are 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm heights with 6mm ID and 2.9mm OD for M3 screws to choose from. Hopefully this will help others with similar issues. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 and V2.1 Rafts: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100%
