Skeletal Modeling (a type of Top-down Design) is a technique that facilitates centralized design criteria and creates components that reference those criteria. This creates a staircase that is completely flexible, which means that within the assembly environment of Autodesk Inventor you can drag the Sketch in order to change the dimensions of the entire Autodesk Inventor assembly. Step size, number of steps, height, length and width of the staircase will be flexible, because they are driven by dimensions and parametric formula's.
