Flexible pliers

thingiverse

A radical reinterpretation of Eric Serre's design, this 3D printed tool transforms flexible pliers into a dual-material marvel. By retaining the adaptable properties of nGen_FLEX for the hinge section, while introducing a new material for the handle components, we unlock unprecedented functionality. colorFabb's nGen and nGen_FLEX demonstrate exceptional bonding capabilities when combined, ensuring this print is ready to go straight from the printer without intricate interlocking geometries. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: BCN3D Printer Model: BCN3D SIGMA Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.15 mm Notes: We amplified the model by 150% to perfectly align with the BCN3D Sigma's 0.6mm nozzles. Given its perimeter-only design, infill is unnecessary. colorFabb's nGen and nGen_FLEX exhibit excellent bonding properties when paired together, enabling seamless integration without complicated interlocking geometries. If you encounter weak connections between materials, scaling up the hinge section a few percent might strengthen overlapping geometry. A nGen brim was applied to ensure the small print base adheres securely to the print bed. Post-Printing: Almost complete Simply remove the brim and you're ready for action!
