Flexible phone tripod mount for iPhone 3, 4, etc.
thingiverse
We had some old iPhones collecting dust and wanted to put them to good use with Presence, turning them into webcams. I searched for a simple yet effective tripod mount but couldn't find one that fit our needs. So, I designed this in OpenSCAD and all you have to do is enter the dimensions of your iPhone. The 3GS, iPhone4 case, and iPhone4 in case models are tested, while the plain iPhone 4 isn't. The dimensions come from Apple's site, so they should be accurate, but I've included the SCAD file just in case you need to make some adjustments. I'm happy to add any designs that others create and test. To get started, simply print this design with no supports and about 20% infill. Then, insert a standard 1/4" 20tpi bolt into the slot, and you're ready to go.
