Flexible Mask with Thread Round Filters
thingiverse
This is a remix of 2.25mm aluminum wire designed to fix flex around the nose, utilizing filters with thread. For optimal results, employ the head mount from the original design. Elastic bands are prone to harboring viruses and pose significant challenges for disinfection. During experiments with PETG (as depicted in a photograph), I encountered difficulties fitting it around the nose. However, using aluminum wire with PETG has yet to be tested. A simple method involves employing Dichloromethane and a small vise along with foil for gluing edges (refer to the accompanying photograph). In theory, you can create a coal filter by combining models from this design. Nevertheless, this approach lacks coherence without the comprehensive protection of the head. The prefix "_" signifies that these are outdated or supplementary models. Additional models include: "_Adapter.stl" - designed for utilizing filters with the original mask design, compatible with PETG materials; modifications may be necessary for other materials. "_nose_wire_holder_for_customisation_1.stl" and "_2" - not intended for printing; instead, they are meant for modeling or integrating with the original design. Update 06/06/2020: Flexible materials pose significant challenges during post-processing. To address this issue, I have separated the mask body and throat models into distinct components: - Flexible_Mask_V2.stl - Flexible_Mask_V2_Hook_V3.stl (utilizing HookV3 from the original model) - Throats: Throat_Outer_Throat_to_Funnel.stl and Inlet/Outlet designed for use with the original equipment Older versions remain available.
