Flexible fingers hand
grabcad
The concept involves using electric motors to control finger movements. Users can create melody patterns in a phone app and send these patterns to the hand, allowing them to play different piano melodies. Fingertips will feature touch sensors that relay signals to a rubber wristband, which contains 5 actuators on each side. The wristband can be worn around various body parts for tactile feedback. This prototype is designed for four flexible fingers, but it's not just about affordability; it's also a proof-of-concept model. To accommodate different hand sizes, no bolts or joints are used in the design, making it easy to scale the 3D model to any size. Fingers are bent in reverse for printing, creating a gap between chain elements and utilizing material elasticity as springs to hold the fingers straight. However, this model still requires further testing before being finalized.
