Flexible Filament Fidget Spinner
thingiverse
I saw everyone making these fidget spinners and thought I'd join in. I made one using all bearings, which I found really interesting. Some people were using hex nuts, but I didn't have any of those so I used pennies instead. I designed it on Tinkercad. These spinners are smaller than usual ones that use 22mm bearings, making them perfect for kids to play with. However, the outer rings aren't perfectly round, which I'll fix and upload a new version soon. I added a 6-sided spinner feature as well. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select V2.1 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 50 When designing in Tinkercad, I created a special penny holder and extended the top and bottom lips so that the pennies wouldn't fall out during printing. However, this might cause some stringing on the top layers, which can be fixed by making the lip smaller. You can print this with PLA and insert the pennies as you go, or use TPU or flexible filament to make it easier to add them at the end when the print is finished.
