This is a simple part to fill the gap between rollers and the top of the extruder tube on the Malyan M180. It helps hold flexible filament in place, making it less likely to buckle. Note that it's not perfect! I still had some issues with the filament buckling, but it reduced occurrence by about 90%. Without the brace it would buckle frequently even at 10% speed and was unusable at 20% or faster; with the brace I was able to run it at normal (100%) speed with far fewer buckles. I found that it started to get chewed by the wheel after a few hours' use. It's probably best to print a few at a time just in case! It only takes a couple of minutes to print and uses a few cm of filament. To install: You will need to remove existing filament and pass the end through the brace and into the extruder tube. The brace is not symmetrical - the smaller indentation faces toward the motor. Print Settings Printer: Malyan M180 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 100%
