Flexible couplings allow torque transmission between misaligned shafts by accommodating up to 3° angular misalignment and some parallel misalignment. They also provide vibration damping and noise reduction. In rotating shaft systems, these couplings safeguard bearing components from issues like misaligned shafts, vibration, shock loads, and thermal expansion of the shafts or other parts.
