Flexible billboard accessory for drone advertisements

Inspired by the opportunity to print multi-material objects using 3D printers, I developed futuristic concepts that are both doable and makeable. These concepts utilize Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) as actuators, allowing for more simplified designs. I'm a hobbyist working with SMA, confident in the functionality of these concepts. My ideas include a flexible advertisement drone using SMA wire ribbons for compact, aerodynamic designs. The drone features an elephant trunk-inspired mechanism to deliver goods, activated by two SMA actuators for opening and closing. This innovative drone could also be used in emergency situations to guide crowds. I'd like to thank Fathom for giving me the opportunity to use their machines as inspiration to print these concepts.
