Good news everyone! You can purchase Flexi-Turtle Ear Savers here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/841977437/deans-sea-turtle-ear-savers. This surgical mask ear loop relief band, also known as an SMELR Band, is designed to be printed with rigid plastic. The main obstacle for amateur printers is the requirement to use Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE). TPE's flexibility is a significant advantage in the printed model, but it becomes a major drawback for most 3D printers straight out of the box. By linking models together, users can utilize rigid plastic while still allowing the band to adapt to the wearer's head. This design not only provides ear loop relief but also features a whimsical shape resembling a chain of sea turtles. Although this may not be the most efficient use of printing resources (primarily printer time), it is simple and robust enough for amateur printers to produce while offering an aesthetic appeal that encourages individuals who might not normally print SMELR Bands. The base model measures approximately 160mm long, 25mm wide, and 8mm high. Updates: There are now Plus size and Mini Ear Savers available for larger heads and smaller machines! A step file is included.
