Hi creators, if you're in need of a helping hand for your solder job, here's a solution that only requires a pair of loom bands to print your full working solder help. The basic idea isn't new and some other cool guys have built similar adjustable arms, but I've created my own system to suit my personal needs. To print this, you'll need two different filaments: one flexible like Flexifill or Filaflex, and the other a non-flexible filament of your choice. This is crucial to ensure that everything fits and works properly. Print Settings: Printer: Hephestos Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 - 0.3mm Infill: 30% - 50% Notes: The infill for the flexible things should be around 50% (Flexifill) and 75% (Filaflex), as Filaflex is considerably softer than Flexifill. This ensures enough strength in the material. I recommend a layer height of 0.1mm for these parts. For non-flexible components, you can use a range of 0.1 - 0.3 mm, with a recommended setting of 0.1mm. You can adjust the agility of the joints by varying the layer height: lower quality layers result in a rougher surface and heavier joint movement, while higher quality layers produce a smoother surface and easier joint movement. The pressure of the clips is also adjustable and can be regulated using the loom band. Adjust it to your liking. Some overhangs may be critical on certain printers; if you encounter issues, add supports or change the orientation of the components. Relevant parts include "Flexifill-Stand.stl" and "Stand-small_part_deposit.stl." All other parts require no support. For tiny parts, use filament cooling at 30% to avoid holes and prevent overheating of layers. That's all for now; feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
