Compared with the quadcopter, the hexacopter has two more motors and propellers, making it bigger and visually appealing when in flight. If you already own a Flexbot quadcopter, you can easily convert it into a hexacopter by uploading the hexacopter software, then downloading and printing out the hexacopter design. After some assembly and DIY work, you'll have your very own Flexbot hexacopter. The process should be enjoyable. This is an updated version of Flexbot, with numerous changes and improvements made based on previous designs. For example, the battery holder has been redesigned to prevent it from falling out when dropped, but this could cause problems if designed too tightly. One day, I was listening to music with my Beats headphones when they suddenly ran out of power. As I changed the batteries, I noticed a unique design feature - the cap is rotated into place. This inspired me to create a 3D battery holder that can't fall from the frame. The battery holder plays a crucial role as the landing gear of the copter. When designing the frame, two key factors were considered: weight and strength. Weight... strength... strength... weight... then... the structure comes together. This is my hope for Flexbot. Developing the final version took longer than expected, with many iterations that didn't work out. Flexbot either flew poorly or crashed on the ground. The new frame also incorporates other changes, such as wider motor seats on the top part to make it easier for users to insert motors. I find 3D printing incredibly convenient. Whenever we want to modify Flexbot, I simply sketch up a design and print it out. This is much more efficient than traditional molding methods. Digital fabrication brings many benefits - it's fun, creative, and limitless. It's perfect for products, prototypes, and testing. We're still working hard to improve the structure and develop new related products. If you have any feedback or ideas about Flexbot, please feel free to contact us. Anything is welcome.
