Flexbot Hexacopter V2.0 With FlexCam
thingiverse
Yes! This is the Hexacopter with Camera on Board. With the camera, everything gets even more exciting! See the world from a completely new angle. We made significant changes to the camera's design. The previous version was easily damaged in crashes, so we relocated the camera lens to the frame. Now it's almost impossible for the camera lens to break when the copter lands on the ground. Flexbot is controlled by your smartphone. If you're flying the FlexCam version, you'll get real-time video on your phone screen. The other parts of the structure have also been significantly improved. For example, we redesigned the battery holder after seeing how it worked in a special Beats headphone design. We wanted to create a 3D battery holder that wouldn't fall out easily when the copter crashed. The battery part is crucial as it acts as the landing gear of the copter. To balance weight and strength, we had to experiment with many versions before finding one that worked well. We even did finite element analysis in a simulation environment to test and improve the design. Now the frame looks great (from my perspective), is strong, and is neat. The new design also includes wider motor seats on top for easier installation. 3D printing has been a game-changer for us. Whenever we want to make changes to Flexbot, I just sketch it out on the computer and print it. Digital fabrication is fun, creative, and limitless! It's perfect for products and prototypes alike. We're still working hard to improve the structure and develop new related products. Feel free to contact us with any feedback or ideas about Flexbot. Anything you have to say will be helpful!
