I'm not convinced that everyone is using axial fans for cooling their extruded filament for good reason.\nA radial blower paired with a flex pipe would make more sense in this situation, as it allows for precise control over airflow and pressure.\n\nWith the flex pipe, a stream of cool air can be directed directly at the hotend tip, while a small 12V, 125mA radial blower generates enough pressure to push the air through the flexible tube with ease. \n\nInitial tests have shown very promising results, allowing me to maintain a consistent 245°C on the hotend even when using full cooling without relying on kapton tape for insulation.\nAlso, the extruded filament appears to be cooled much more effectively than it was with my previous setup of a standard 40mm fan and nozzle.
