Flex Hose Claw Holder
thingiverse
I was looking for a way to display a number of printed odds and ends, and this is what I came up with. Because I was also looking for a way to put these flex tubes to good use since I never had the need to use them for welding third hands.Attached you'll find a base place for six of them that can be attacked to something (a piece of board with a french cleat in my case) as well as three claw parts that use a M3 x 20 screw and a corresponding nut. This may or may not work with other denomination of fasteners, but that's for you to find out - you might be able to drill the hole open a bit more, too.The way I used them was to place the claw in a position, then fasten the screw. It worked well enough as you can see in the image.I used a larger screw (M4, I think) to connect the claws to the flex hoses, but using them to cut a thread into the tip was hit-or miss. Whenever I missed, I pulled the tip off the hose and inserted a nut from the inside to fasten the claw in place.Let me know if you find more uses for this idea!
