Flex Filament Guide

Flex Filament Guide

thingiverse

Once upon a time, I experimented with printing flexible filaments. Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, the filament kept wrapping itself around my gears at every chance it got. So here's a widget that now lets me print all sorts of bendable and squishy objects. Hooray! **Notes** You probably want to print with supports enabled since there's a hole in the base for the heater stalk to thread into. My printer can give edges that are pretty bumpy, but a quick touch-up in the filament hole with a 2mm drill bit smoothed out the edges and made the filament run smoothly. *Update*: I'd like to thank user [augustus0922](https://www.thingiverse.com/augustus0922/about) for sharing the small filler screw that helps soak up space when using a bowden setup. (photos are in the comments). If you need to tweak the design for your printer, just let me know and I'll share the Fusion 360 files with you.
