Flex Camera - Smartphone Dock
thingiverse
This is a smartphone dock design for your mobile device. I wanted to create a smartphone dock that resembles a camera, with a unique tripod-friendly design. The smartphone dock features a quick shoe that allows you to connect it to your own tripod for added stability. When printing this dock, use the following settings: Printer - Atom 2.0; Rafts - Doesn't Matter; Supports - No; Resolution - 0.15mm; Infill - 30%. Notes on colors: The body and body cover will be black, while the front parts 1 will be grey, with other parts also in various shades of grey, white, orange, and yellow. After printing all the parts, you'll need glue and a bearing (22.20 diameter) to complete the assembly. Start by gluing together the body and body cover. Then, attach the front parts to the body using a strong adhesive. Next, screw in the 3D printed volt between the front parts for added support. Continue by gluing on the lens cover and placing the top cover onto the body parts. Finally, assemble the rotary button with a bearing to complete the smartphone dock. This design was created using Rhino 3D software.
