Flex 16 Bat

Flex 16 Bat

Just a small update to the design. The thin walls of the flexure didn't want to print with normal settings/hardware, and the bat body didn't seem flat in the original. The peg is square in the remixed design so that the wings don't rotate in the hole. It should be a snug fit such that no glue is required to join the two. The wings probably won't survive many full 90 deg cycles of rotation, but is still a fun decoration. Original design idea from BYU CMR. The flexure is based on the Flex-16 described in this paper: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mechmachtheory.2014.08.008
