Fleur De Lis
thingiverse
My wife, along with her former sorority members, adores the Fleur De Lis – an ornamental lily. The symbol is also utilized by scouts, sports teams, and many others. After assembling, testing, and calibrating my Thing-O-Matic, I chose to print a Fleur De Lis design to express gratitude for her support of my tech pursuits. Although I didn't create the design myself, I sourced it from Google Sketchup Warehouse (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=4cf07fb6cf4105169eeaab05b21288d). The design credit goes to user Frisky Dingo. Printing the Fleur De Lis model was straightforward, and it required no support structures. Despite my initial bot calibration running at a feed rate of 60mm/s, the print quality turned out impressively well. However, as I delved into more complex prints later on, I realized that this feed rate was not ideal for a novice like myself.
