This bronze sculpture is a study of a faceless woman without arms. It was created by Henri Deryke in 1950. Born on August 30th, 1928, in northern France, Deryke passed away in 1998 and left behind a legacy as a French sculptor who narrowly missed out on the Prix de Rome for sculpture in 1952 after unveiling this particular piece which now sits permanently on display in Valenciennes' public park.
