Fletching JIG
thingiverse
This is a fletching jig I created because of its utility in building my own arrows. I designed it to be used with 5 mm to 8 mm arrow shafts. The necessary components are: 1) Three pieces of M4 threaded rod, approximately 76 mm long, which serve as base screws; 2) Twelve M4 nuts for the base screws; 3) Three M3 x 25mm screws that link the arms with the "Morsa-guide" parts; 4) An elastic or an O-Ring to secure the arms; 5) Cyanacrylate glue or threadlock for locking nuts and "Ghiera" nuts, not for "Base-guide" nuts. I designed the arms to accommodate 2" (55mm exactly) arrow fletching. To create this jig, you need to print: 1) One "Base-guide.stl"; 2) Three "Ghiera.stl"; 3) Three "Morsa-guide.stl"; 4) Three "Braccetto_2".stl"; I intentionally designed the parts with some tolerances to avoid refining with sandpaper.
