FOB - Fletching Only Better is born from a desire for something better, but at a fraction of the cost. As I don't have any existing ones, I've designed several from scratch, and while they still require refinement, they're worth sharing. When finished, you'll need to drill them out, so be prepared to adjust your slicer settings for horizontal expansion. I've tested these FOBs with a drop-away rest, and they work remarkably well. However, please note that they won't function with a Whisker Biscuit or any other type of rest. The 4-degree twist on each one ensures a stable flight path. Compared to standard 2" Blazers, these FOBs are significantly heavier, weighing in at around 25 grams versus 15 grams. I've added heat shrink tubing in front of the fob to prevent fog from sliding up onto the shaft. However, after some trial and error, I've stopped using this method due to jamming issues. Instead, I've introduced a small stop made from super-glued parts, which can be scaled vertically to as much as 20% for optimal performance. This modification has proven effective in preventing jams. Before using these FOBs, it's essential to measure your shafts to ensure they're the correct size. I currently offer two options: one designed for .257" and another for .3". As these are tailored to my own arrows and printer, I recommend experimenting with partial prints and adjusting expansion settings until you achieve a snug fit. If you require custom-sized FOBs, I may be willing to create them for you.
