This is a specially designed eating aid that enables individuals with hand movement difficulties to grasp utensils securely. It was initially created for a patient who had lost his thumb, requiring an innovative solution. The device features a thickened handle that allows a more comfortable grip for users with limited dexterity in their hands. By surrounding the user's hand with this ergonomic design, it provides stability and control over the eating process. A unique feature of this adapter is its adjustable internal channel. This allows users to customize it according to their specific needs by inserting different items such as thick utensils, toothbrushes, or even pencils. The versatility of this device makes it a valuable tool for individuals who face challenges in everyday tasks due to hand mobility issues. This eating aid was conceived and produced through a collaborative project between the "Mutual de Seguridad C.Ch.C" from Chile and two other key partners: the Direction of Innovation and Development, as well as the Neuro Rehabilitation Institute.
