I'm sharing something that might make some of you uncomfortable... apologies are due. But if you or a loved one needs this, it can literally be a life-saver or at least a huge pain reliever. A close friend of mine recently had stomach surgery. If you've ever heard of or gone through this type of surgery, you'll know they fill your body cavity with CO2 to spread things out for the procedure. Afterward, whatever gas they couldn't remove (sometimes it's a lot), your body has to absorb and expel. Yes, that means burping and farting. But if your abdomen has just been operated on, you have no way to push due to pain. The gas build-up can become overwhelming, leading to extreme discomfort that lasts for days. I told my friend at her hospital bed, "I can fix this when we get home." Within two hours of being back home with my printer, she finally experienced relief. A little vaseline smoothed the insertion, and this became an instant relief valve (yes, you insert it in your anus). It worked so well that she slept with it for two days. Her stomach was empty anyway; just gas. I debated publishing this for days... but seriously, if you're in her shoes or know someone who is, you will find this to be a godsend. If you or a loved one finds this as amazing as we did, please let me know. You can download and modify this for personal use, but check the license; it's not for commercial use.
