FlatMinis: Warrior in mail
thingiverse
While he appears to be a Norman knight on foot, this fetchling paladin of Erelm Brimirsdräpe and acting ambassador of Talheim is actually Sigismund. He's currently strapped for cash, so he's made do with mail armor until proper plate can be acquired. In the meantime, he wields a defensive sword-and-shield combo instead of a great weapon. It's puzzling why he chooses to go without a helm, however. Sigismund is accompanied by Vaughan, Nukpana, and Sir Woo-Jung Mi-Rhun. The mail armor didn't turn out exceptionally well (though it would likely improve with some sharp knife cleaning) but I think it gets the job done. My printer struggles with printing without rafts, and without one, the shield probably would have been smoother. I created this model using Tinkercad, starting with grumpyrobot's male blank. You can customize it here. Occasionally, the spikes on Flatminis equipment print poorly for me, but I've found that printing them separately helps. My model is standing on my oblong base, but the main STL includes a standard 25mm flatminis base. Both bases are included as separate STLs.
