FlatMinis: Goblin Warrior

FlatMinis: Goblin Warrior

While grumpyrobot's goblin is indeed very nice, I needed something that could be modified to suit my needs. Inspired by their work, I created my own goblin template (which you can tinker with here). Based on this, I plan to create several goblin variants - after all, they are a diverse people. This fierce warrior is the first one I am making public. It's armed with a huge, brutal scimitar and a shortbow (both drawn in Inkscape) and sports some sort of armor made up of different sections. The result is a rather antique look in my mind, somehow. I imagined it as hardened leather with metal shoulder pads, but a different paint scheme would change that. Or you could tinker with the model. As you can see from the pictures, I gave my goblin warrior a quick and dirty paint job. Oh, and a tip: I've found that my printer struggles with the pins in flatminis weapons if it prints characters or other larger items simultaneously. I think the filament cools too much between layers, which makes them extra brittle. So if you suffer from weapon pins breaking off, try printing weapons separately.
