FlatBat Cinewhoop
prusaprinters
I made this drone to be 3D printable by anyone, who is interested in cinewhoop design. All the source files (Fusion360,.step, .stl, .3mf, .step, .dwg) are available for download.Feel free to comment or remix to make this project even better :)Main features:All 3D printed frameFixed FPV cam + Gopro mount- no more misaligned angle shots.Easily adjustable FPV cam+gopro angleSlammed ducts for better handling (but still giving increased efficiency)Low GC - 20mm standoffsUniversal mounting holes and 20x20/16x16 stack optionsDJI Vista/analog readyPlates can be made out of carbon for better stiffness and less weightInbuilt landing skidsPrinting and materials:I tried to make it printable with as few supports as possible.Plates:I printed it with PCCF Prusament, which I really recommend for its stiffness and toughness. If you're not able to print it, I suggest using these materials: PCCF>PC>ASA/ABS>PETG>PLAFlex parts:I used 98A TPU for the ducts, so they are stiffer and don't bend on impact and 92A TPU for cam mount to better dampen vibration. However, any TPU will do the job.If you have problems printing TPU with supports and overhangs, you can print a simplified version of cam mount (located in accessories) and bend and glue the halves together.Carbon plates:If you have a CNC router, you can cut the frame out of carbon. The result will be even lighter and stiffer frame- as good as commercially available ones.I would use 2,5-3mm carbon sheet for bottom plate and 1-1,5mm for top plate.Required parts:M3 20mm standoffs - 11xM3*10 screw - 16xM3*8 screw - 4xM3*6 screw - 6xM3 washer - 2x (use with screw securing cam mount angleM2*25 screw+nuts - 4-8x (stack mounting)M2*8 + washers - 2-4x (fpv cam mount)Notes:Currently the only Gopro mount is for Hero 5/6/7. Mount for Hero 8/9 will be added soon.To achieve higher thrust and efficiency, the gap bewteen prop and duct must be minimal. Use motor spacers to adjust the motor height to achieve optimal gap.If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave or dm me.Like it? Share, remix, post makes and photos!
