The images used in our shadows were originally rendered at 2000x2000 pixels with 16-bit depth per channel to prevent banding. We then cropped them to reduce the file size and ensure a great content ratio. Plus, we saved two versions of each shadow - one hard, ideal for sunny scenes, and one soft, perfect for cloudy scenes.
