Flat Mount Full Graphic Smart Controller Case

I designed a case that can be printed in 3 parts, plus a stop button, to allow easy mounting on a flat surface. After researching many cases for this controller, I realized none met my specific requirements. I drew inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1562144 but found it was intended for handheld use rather than attaching to a surface. I also utilized and included the STL from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302196 as the foundation for designing the case. Following printing and assembly, I identified areas for improvement. The screen PCB on my Smart Controller is mounted 2mm closer to the main board, so I would adjust the screen surround design to be more flush with it. Additionally, there was insufficient clearance under the rotary button, which I resolved by gently lifting the button cap. I also encountered issues with the pillar that holds the screws, which broke when overtightened. To fix this, I applied friction welding to reattach the end cap. For future prints, I would update the design to feature end caps that click into place rather than screwing together. Initially, I overlooked allowing for through-hole components on the controller board, which could create problems with the rotary button's large tabs. I addressed this by trimming the problematic tab and found it actually provides a more satisfying click when pressed against the case mount.
