I designed a new filament spool holder because a couple of damaged or warped ones were giving me headaches with my other rollers. It uses common skateboard/inline bearings (608) and is tailored to fit my available spools, but can easily be adjusted for different bearings and dimensions. I engineered the hub to fit snugly around my smallest spool's center hole, about 15mm in diameter, then added spacers for accommodating various other sizes. Printing Instructions First, print a hub that matches the smallest spool you have at home. Attach skateboard/inline bearings (608) to the pins, which may need some sanding down to fit perfectly, depending on your printer's tolerances. If needed, create a track or path for the holder to run smoothly on different surfaces. For diverse spool diameters, simply print spacers of the corresponding sizes (or additional hubs with custom dimensions). When it comes to spacers smaller than 30mm, use the compact, solid type without spokes; for larger diameters, use the standard spacers with a spoke pattern.
