Flat Ethernet Cable Spool 100 foot cable
thingiverse
An ethernet cable spool for flat ethernet cables of up to 100 feet. Typically ethernet cable spools cannot be printed on standard 3D printers with limited bed size. This has been accomplished by creating a dual spool system with each spool limited to a diameter of 185 mm. Cable is wound from the middle with each end being on a different spool. This allows the user to unravel a single spool for up to 50 feet of cable, and both spools for the full 100 feet. Consists of three assemblies slip fitted together and held in place with a threaded PLA nut and bolt. Threads are 25/2 and have been offset and filleted. Center of cable goes through center shaft and into each spool via slot in the shaft of Base and Top sections. Center has anti-rotation tab. 12 mm hole in center to use as spooling handle. Nut/Bolt tighten by hand or with US quarter in slot. I created this, printed and put this into use so slip fittings, threads, and clearances have all been tested and verified to be in working order using the materials specified.
