A driving cap is a rounded cap featuring a small stiff brim in front, originating from Great Britain and Ireland. Known in Ireland as a Paddy cap, in Scotland as a Bunnet, in Wales as a Dai cap, in New Zealand as a Cheese-cutter, and in the US as a driving cap, this hat offers versatility in its name. Made from a variety of cloths including wool, tweed (most commonly used), and cotton, less common materials such as leather, linen, or corduroy are also utilized. To ensure comfort and warmth, the inside of the cap is typically lined.
